The STAT team was invited to table at LandSpeaks: Honoring Our Protectors – Past, Present, and Future–https://www.facebook.com/events/1895752330703514/. on June 27th. The event was sponsored and arranged by the Native Education Alliance, in collaboration with Native Eyes, San Xavier Co-op Farm, San Xavier District, and The Loft Cinema, presents LandSpeaks, a FREE day-long family event connecting Native Language, Identity and Land.
The purpose of LandSpeaks was to provide opportunities to empower our youth with their families and to see how Native Languages express deep connections with culture, identity, and land. In addition, we are honoring our protectors and highlighting the work of water protectors at Standing Rock through a new film.
The STAT team was so happy to get out into the fresh air and share our template for Writing to Your Elected Official. These tabling events are such amazing opportunities to get out and reacquaint ourselves with friends and colleagues and to enjoy the community. Thank you Lisa Falk for the invite and thank you to the San Xavier CoOp for the hospitality and allowing us to set up at your beautiful farm. We were so excited to be Abel to reconnect with Indivisible Tohono and will post more about them soon:)
